Paul Thornleyis an Englishactor who portrayed Ron Weasleyin the originalWest EndPalace Theatreproductionof Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.[1]He left the London production on the 21 May, 2017.[2]On 2 August, 2017 it was confirmed that Thornley would be reprising his role of Ron Weasley in the original Broadway production.[3] He left the Broadway production on the 17 March, 2019.[4]
Thornley's voice is heard in every production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, despite not physically appearing. His voice is heard as the voice of the Ludo Bagman that appear in Act Two, Three and Four. Thornley recorded these vocals while appearing in the original production.

[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]Paul Thornley besuchte die Guildford School of Acting.[1] Ab 2003 hatte er erste Auftritte in Fernsehfilmen und Serien. 2012 spielte er in einer kleinen Rolle als „Constable“ bei Les Misérables mit.
Danach war er auf der Bühne in Produktionen von A Chorus of Disapproval im Harold Pinter Theatre, Die drei Musketiere im Rose Theatre, Kingston und It’s a Wonderful Life im Wolsey Theatre zu sehen.[2] Er spielte außerdem den Dodge in der Originalbesetzung der London Road im Royal National Theatre, eine Rolle, die er später im gleichnamigen Film erneut verkörperte[3]. Auch gab Thornley seine Stimme einem Charakter namens Olgierd Von Everec im 2015 veröffentlichten Videospiel The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
2016 spielte er Ron Weasley in der Londoner Originalbesetzung von Harry Potter und das verfluchte Kind am Palace Theatre in London im West End[4]. Er wurde als bester Nebendarstel
