Edward Thomas Taylor (June 19, 1858 – September 3, 1941) was an American lawyer and educator who served as a U.S. Representative from Colorado. A member of the Democratic Party, he served 17 terms in the U.S. House, from 1909 to 1941.

Biography

Edward H. Taylor, Ph.D.is an associate professor, mental health clinician and researcher, past Director of the School of Social Work, at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBC), and currently the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Health and Social Development, UBC. Additionally, Dr. Taylor serves as the Co-Director of the UBC Interprofessional Mental Health Clinic. Previously, he was an Associate Professor at the School of Social Work, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. During his work in Minnesota Dr. Taylor conducted program evaluation research for the State’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division, provided training across Minnesota on evidence based treatment methods, and co-authored the State’s youth mental health comprehensive assessment instrument. The assessment instrument is currently used in most child and adolescent clinics that receive financial support from Minnesota.

Edward Taylor has taught a variety of accounting and taxation courses at Boston College since 1986 at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a Certified Public Accountant and spent five years with the international accounting firm of KPMG.

He has taught over 160 courses in topics such as financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, federal taxation, advanced accounting, auditing and assurance and consulting services. During this time, Taylor has been involved in extensive faculty service with the student body. He is the faculty advisor to the Accounting Academy, and is the coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. In addition, Taylor advises many students and has assisted them in finding internships and fulltime employment.
