Mason Cook was born and raised in Montreal, Canada before moving to the West Coast to pursue a career in business. After years as a corporate number cruncher, she traded in her suits to stay home and raise her three children. A voracious reader (her Christmas stocking was always filled with the fattest books), she started writing creatively to channel the stories crafted in her head while spending so much time driving her children around. Drafts of her first two novels were conceived while attending creative writing classes at Simon Fraser University. Mason lives in beautiful British Columbia with her cyclist husband, three very busy and active kids and her fluffball of a dog. She loves to escape from her over scheduled life to write about the chaos in her fictitious characters' lives all while wearing pajamas and drinking coffee.
