Herbert J. Bachelor (MBA 1968) Fellowship
The Herbert J. Bachelor Fellowship was established by Jeannie Bachelor Lavine and Jonathan S. Lavine (both MBA 1992) in honor of Jeannie's father, Herbert J. Bachelor (MBA 1968). The fellowship, which will support students who are the first in their families to go to college, pays tribute to Bachelor, who was the first in his family to achieve this milestone. While at Harvard College he worked 40 hours a week to cover expenses, but still accumulated a large amount of debt, a sum that increased while he earned his MBA. Bachelor began saving very early for his children's college education so they would not experience the same challenge. This fellowship continues that legacy by helping ease the financial burden for others.

The club secretary was seventeen-year-old Jasper Sexton, the son of the landlord of The IslanderPub in Tooke Street where Millwall held their meetings. The first chairman of the club was local GP Doctor William Murray-Leslie, who surprisingly never played for the club. (Murray-Leslie is sometimes cited as being an
