Dyanne Thorne (14 October1936 – 28 January2020; age 83) was an actress who played the first Iotian girl in the Star Trek: The Original Seriessecond season episode "A Piece of the Action". She filmed her scene on Monday 6 November1967 on location at Paramount Pictures' McFadden Street backlot.

Early life and education

Born in Park Ridge, New Jersey, as Dorothy Ann Seib, and raised there primarily by her mother, she attended Park Ridge High School, where she was one of the feature writers on the school newspaper.^[2]

After graduating, she attended New York University and took acting courses with Uta Hagen.^[1]
