DOUG HARVEY (Hamlet, et al) is thrilled to bring his reduced stature to the RSC family. Stage credits include South Coast Rep, LA Philharmonic, A Noise Within, and Mainstreet Theatre Company. His one-man show, A Time Traveler's Guide to the Present, was recently awarded the Paul Koslo Memorial / MET Theatre Award at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. He also tours with the RSC in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and performs regularly at the LA landmark Griffith Observatory, where he live-narrates the planetarium shows. AUSTIN TICHENOR (The King, Ophelia, et al; Co-Author & Co-Director)is a fifth-generation San Franciscan born on the 54th anniversary of the 1906 Earthquake, making him older than he looks but short for his weight. He's co-created ten RSC stage shows, the recently published Pop-Up Shakespeare (illustrated by Jennie Maizels), and blogs monthly for the Folger Shakespeare Library. He played Richard Burbage in the Midwest premiere of Lauren Gunderson's The Book of Called a “trio of Modern Marx Brothers” by the Boston Herald and “intellectual vaudeville” by the New York Times, The Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC) is a touring American comedy troupe that performs fast-paced, seemingly improvisational condensations of huge topics. They hold the record for the longest running comedies in the history of London’s West End as three of its shows ran in repertory at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly Circus for almost ten years. Known as the “Bad Boys of Abridgment,” the RSC has performed at the White House, Lincoln Center, Off-Broadway, the Kennedy Center, and Montreal’s famed Just For Laughs Festival, as well as touring the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore, Barbados, Bermuda, Israel, Qatar, and Ireland. The Reduced Shakespeare Company is heard frequently on both NPR and the BBC.
