History
Eric Horng was welcomed into the world into the arms of Master Cheng Yen spiritually and metaphorically, listening to Tzu Chi songs while still in his mother's womb. Growing up with parents involved in Tzu Chi, he was raised as what is called a "TC baby." As a TC baby, Eric has extensive and firsthand knowledge and experience in the world and culture of Tzu Chi Foundation, the parent organization of the Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (also known as Tzu Ching) and has aspired since the first day of conscious memory, to become a Tzu Ching.
In 2003, Eric triumphantly toppled the world record for "most unnecessary laughs during a movie" in a showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. He immediately followed this outstanding performance by shattering the world record for "number of Google Image searches for Keira Knightley by one person in a single day".
